Provides Personal and Wireless Toxic Gas Solutions for Worker Safety

SAN JOSE, CA, September 16, 2008 - RAE Systems Inc., a leader in delivering innovative sensor solutions to serve industrial, energy, environmental, and government safety markets worldwide, has delivered personal and wireless toxic gas monitoring systems and instruments to the three largest Latin American oil producers: Pemex of Mexico, PDVSA of Venezuela, and Petrobra of Brazil.

"These regional wins have given us strategic leverage in selling our complete line of gas detection products into the Latin American oil and gas market for both onshore and off-shore use," said Ryan Watson, RAE Systems' vice president for Americas Sales. "We now have gas detection solutions for the breathing zone, work zone, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, wide-area monitoring, fence-line monitoring, spill management, plant turnarounds, and emergency response."

Products currently deployed in this market include the following:

ToxiRAE 3 single-gas monitors for hydrogen sulfide (H2S)and carbon monoxide (CO) QRAE II diffusion and pumped four-gas monitors for worker safety and confined space entry MiniRAE 3000 for total volatile organic compound (VOC) and leak detection ppbRAE for parts-per-billion VOC measurement and leak detection AreaRAE wireless monitors for both plant turnarounds and active site real-time worker and community safety UltraRAE 3000 for benzene exposure monitoring
