TEL AVIV, Israel - RADWIN (http://www.radwin.com), the global provider of Backhaul and Broadband Wireless Solutions, today announced that its solutions were deployed by three municipalities in Santiago, Chile for high-speed video surveillance transmission. RADWIN's high-capacity Point-to-Point systems are used to transfer video from HD cameras installed in the cities of Pudahuel, Penalolen and Valparaiso back to these municipalities' control centers. Transworld - RADWIN's certified distributor in Chile, together with Petric - a leading video surveillance system integrator - were in charge of project design and implementation.
Jorge Briceno of the Penalolen Municipality in Santiago, stated: "Our top priority is to enhance public safety in our city. We installed video cameras in strategic locations so that we could monitor and provide immediate response in cases of crime and vandalism.
