R&D Circuits Acquires Altanova Corporation

South Plainfield, NJ and San Jose, CA

RD Circuits Inc. announced that it has acquired Altanova Corporation, specializing in High Speed Digital, Mixed Signal and RF ATE boards and providing design, simulation, fab, assembly and test for ATE, Characterization Boards and Probe Cards. The company operates out of San Jose, California, with design facilities in Latin America and Asia. The combined company will now operate under the name R&D-ALTANOVA.

Jim Russell, President and CEO of R&D Circuits said, "We were attracted to the company because of its best in class front-end design infrastructure and focus on the A.T.E. marketplace."

James Dresser, Altanova’s CEO and co-founder said, "The merger of products and services provides a complete product offering to our customers and greatly expands our design capacity. We now have a comprehensive A.T.E. interconnect solution set, which will enable us to control product quality and supply-chain management for enhanced service to our customers." In the new entity, James will have responsibilities as Director of Business Development.

With the acquisition, R&D Circuits added sales and technical support for both companies, including sales and applications offices located in South Plainfield NJ, Allentown, PA, San Jose, CA.
