R.C. Coil Spring Mfg. Co., Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Masterite Tool, Inc. formerly of Franklin Park, IL, as an "in house" department providing Wire EDM services to a wide variety of our customers. This acquisition will enhance our ability to offer more value to our 4-slide and punch press customers and will include the following services and capabilities:
Two machines we will be utilizing are a Mitsubishi FX20 Wire EDM Machine with 14" X 20" table travel which has "auto-threading" capability, and a Mitsubishi 110C Wire EDM Machine with 12" X 18" table travel which is excellent for quick turnaround and "hot" jobs. These machines will speed up the tooling process to meet today's demands. Added to these is a Moore #3 Jig Grinder, vital in the running of high precision diameter holes and their locations, giving R.C. Coil Spring the competitive edge to meet today's tooling demands and an immediate impact on the needs of our customers. We know the same R.C Coil Spring high standards of service will be provided to you when you decide to use our Wire EDM service.
We are also happy to announce that Dave Tomek, former owner of Masterite Tool has joined our staff and will be here to answer all your questions concerning our Wire EDM Department. Dave is a graduate of Northwestern University and his expertise in this area is unmatched throughout the industry. His background includes 26 years of tool and die experience working with dies up to 135" in length but his experience in working closely with his customers on tool design improvements is where he truly excels.
