Bozeman, MT, 59718
USA

Press release date: October 26, 2009

Quantum Composers now offers an easy firmware upgrade option for the legacy Stanford Research Systems DG535 pulse generator, allowing the user to use existing programming language as Command Set Compatibility. This will aid in transitioning programming software from the DG535 to the more fully featured and higher throughput QC9520. The majority of these commands perform identically to the SRS equivalent instrument functions, and several capabilities actually extend the functionality and/or the limits of the SRS equivalent capabilities.

"This new firmware feature will significantly increase the efficiency of migrating from older antiquated equipment to an up-to-date, more capable instrument" states Senior Applications Engineer, Scott Fraser.

The 9520 Series from Quantum Composers is cost effective and extremely capable, providing solutions to generate and synchronize multiple pulses and triggers for a wide variety of applications from simple to complex. For automated test sequencing, all common computer interfaces are available such as RS232, USB, GPIB and Ethernet. The 9520 Series provides up to eight fully independent digitally controlled channels with width, delay, and rate and amplitude control on each output.

Stanford Research Systems launched the DG535 Digital Delay Generator in 1985. The unit has earned the title, "The Stanford Box", as many users have come to rely and even standardize to this instrument. Over time experimental demands have increased, ushering in requirements for greater flexibility and up-to-date technology. Rather than a "one size fits all" approach, Quantum Composers offers a suite of Digital Delay / Pulse Generators providing solutions for every budget and technical requirement. Furthermore, Quantum Composers continues to develop features and options for their pulse generator line, striving to meet the evolving needs of their customers.
