National Distributor Adds QComp Compact Lean Palletizer to its Packaging Offerings

GREENVILLE, Wisconsin- May 12, 2009, QComp Technologies, Inc., a leading robotics integrator, today announced it has signed xpedx® of Loveland, Ohio as its newest distributor of palletizing equipment. As Qcomp's newest authorized distributor xpedx will add the QComp Compact Lean Palletizer (CLP) to its packaging offerings.

"xpedx designs and provides customized packaging solutions featuring the newest tools to make their customers more efficient and profitable," said Tom Doyle, president of QComp Technologies, Inc. "QComp's research has shown that our CLP system will help xpedx customers more efficiently use their production floor space, maximize their return on investment and have minimal production interruption."

"We believe our strategic relationships with industry leading suppliers are critical and when researching palletizing options for our customers we concluded that the CLP system was a natural fit to our packaging line," said John Perrin, vice president of marketing, manufacturing for xpedx.

The QComp Compact Lean Palletizer (CLP) by virtue of its small footprint allows customers to palletize at the user's point of production eliminating long costly conveyor runs to centralized palletizing areas. The frame mounted and pre-assembled palletizer can be installed in a day and features the extremely reliable and robust ABB IRB 260 robot with packing rates of up to 15 cases per minute. The system is available in multiple pallet patterns, can use manual forklifts or AGV's and features instantaneous tool changing.
