QNAP® Enhances Business Series Turbo NAS Line with Two New 8-Drive Rackmount Models


Utilizing Multi-core Intel Xeon & Core i3 CPUs, optional 10GbE Networking, and Redundant Power Supplies

New Delhi - QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced two new 8-drive 2U Rackmount Turbo NAS models with up to 24TB storage capacity, featuring either a Quad-core Intel® Xeon® CPU or a Dual-core Intel® Core(TM) i3 CPU. Both models are backed with 3 year warranty and feature optional 10GbE networking and can achieve breakthrough data throughput of over 1,000MB/sec and 100,000 IOPS using 10GbE, delivering performance suitable for high-end SMB and data center environments demanding maximum performance and up-time for mission critical applications.

Featuring industry-leading iSCSI support, the new series can simultaneously provide storage solutions for IP-SAN (iSCSI) and NAS implementations. Furthermore, being VMware® Ready, Citrix® XenServer Ready, and Windows® Hyper-V compliant, the new series is ideal for network shared storage for virtual server environments.

The new series supports RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 6, 5+ hot spare, 6+ hot spare, 10+ hot spare, single disk, JBOD, and the Global Hot Spare allowing a spare drive to flexibly replace a failed drive on s any RAID volume on the NAS for automatic RAID data rebuilding. The large capacity of the new units also provide an ideal solution for network-wide backups, file sharing in mixed Windows®, Mac®, Linux, and UNIX environments, private cloud storage, and high-performance computing applications such as high definition video editing.
