Pulse Combustion Systems (PCS) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to supply a specialized pulse dryer to Orbite Aluminae, Inc. of Montreal, Canada (Orbite). Orbite plans to use the Pulse Dryer to dry a slurry of High Purity Alumina in a new plant to be located in Cap-Chat, Quebec, Canada.
"We are very pleased with this development on many levels," says PCS President James A. Rehkopf. "Orbite is a great customer, and they are also very innovative and high-tech. They were the prime motivator for our development of the Indirectly-Heated Pulse Dryer, because they wanted absolutely no contamination in their powder. We are especially gratified that our prototype dryer worked very well, enabling us to go into immediate production of their dryer."
