Press release date: May 13, 2008

Milan, May 13th, 2008 - Following the launch last year of CasaLight(TM), the ITU G657 compliant bend insensitive fibre, Prysmian announces the arrival of CasaLight(TM) Plus, an enhanced performance design which further reduces the minimum working bend radius, exceeding the recommendations of G657.B

Thus whilst CasaLight maintains its role as Prysmian's standard fibre choice for FTTH applications, the availability of CasaLight Plus for extreme bend applications further strengthens Prysmian's overall system offering

CasaLight Plus maintains its full compliance with standard equipment, connectors and fibre already installed in accordance with ITU Recommendation G 652.

Furthermore Prysmian has maintained its commitment to the environment with a fluorine free production process for CasaLight Plus as with all of its other fibre products.

CasaLight Plus optical fibre is now fully available in all of Prysmian's extensive range of FTTH cable products ensuring maximum levels of performance under the most demanding of installation scenarios.
