Melbourne, FL... ZoneMaster supplies a complete package for AC surge protection designed for flexibility, easy installation, and unparalleled power handling capabilities using proven circuitry. ""The ZoneMaster is a truly flexible AC surge protection solution," according to Atlantic Scientific President, Anthony Bird. "We think it provides a complete protection package for even the heaviest power loads with 170kA or 200kA amps per phase protection," he noted. "And, our ZoneMaster Series products are UL 3rd Edition Listed - way ahead of the competition.

The ZoneMaster is packed with features:
o 170kA or 200kA peak amps per phase protection
o Surge counter and audible alarm standard
o NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, & 13 (IP66) enclosure
o UL 1449 3rd Edition Listed
o 10 year warranty

"To jump ahead of the competition, Atlantic Scientific has taken the first steps in ensuring that our ZoneMaster products are UL 3rd Edition Listed. This means that when you are looking for 3rd Edition Listed products there are a few changes on the label fo the product you should be aware of such as:

1. "Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS)" will not be "Surge Protection Device (SPD"
2. There are now four (4) types of SPDs and will be identified as "SPD TYPE 1", "SPD TYPE 2", etc.
3. A new "In" rating of 10kA. This is the test current used during the Listing process.
4. "Enclosure Type" will be included on the label.
5. The MCOV rating (Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage) will be included on the label.
6. "Suppression Rating" will be replaced with "Voltage Protection Rating". This number will be higher because it is obtained with 3kA with the longest path outside the enclosure and extends 6" outside the enclosure.
