Printronix SLPA7000e Gives Companies an Automated RFID Compliance Printing Solution
IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 13 -- Printronix Inc. (NASDAQ:PTNX), the leading integrated supply-chain printing solutions manufacturer, today announced that Tompkins Associates has selected Printronix's radio frequency identification (RFID) SLPA7000e(TM) printer for inclusion in the Tompkins Emerging Technology Center (ETC) in Orlando, FL. The Printronix SLPA7000 is an automated RFID printing solution for compliance and in-line applications introduced to the market in June 2004.
Launched in April, the Tompkins ETC focuses on research, development and testing of emerging technologies such as RFID, voice-activated picking and real-time warehouse controls. This fully operational, multimillion-dollar facility helps companies assimilate people, software and equipment, and plan the best ways to incorporate RFID and other technologies into their operations.
