Whitehouse Station, NJ - 03 August, 2009. Pressure Metrics LLC announces that it is now an authorized distributor of Extreme Low Prescale film, the lowest range in the Fujifilm Prescale line of pressure indicating films. This new range measures between 7.2 PSI (0.5 kg/cm2) and 29 PSI (2 kg/cm2). Prescale is a thin, flexible film which can be placed between any mating surfaces to measure the pressure as well as map the distribution. The film comes in 7 different ranges and can measure up to 43,200 PSI. The results can be determined instantly with a correlation chart included with each film type. Additionally, the films can also be electronically analyzed with an available digital imaging system.
The films can be used on a broad spectrum of application from automotive, to heat seals, packaging, lamination presses, nip impressions, etc. They are easy to cut to any shape and can conform to many curved or grooved surfaces. They are ideal in situations where conventional load cells or electronic products cannot be used.
