Presses With Servo Technology Being Added by Jagemann Stamping

MANITOWOC, Wis. – Jagemann Stamping Company, a leading manufacturer of deep drawn and progressive metal stampings and fine blanking, announced today the purchase of four new Aida presses. The presses include two Aida gap frame mechanical presses and two Aida 330 ton, straight side servo presses.

This two press configuration allows Jagemann to provide more flexibility in the servo press for needed operations and provides a combined maximum tonnage of 550 tons. The two servo presses offer the added benefit of being able to control press speed, stroke length, dwell time, re-strike operations and auxiliary function timing.

The new cells will allow Jagemann to meet specific market needs and opportunities, including those related to Automotive, Industrial and beyond.

Servo press technology is becoming the standard for new press installations in the industry as a result of the flexibility they offer as well as the optimization of programming to maximize productivity.

According to Tom Jagemann, Jagemann Stamping Company CEO, “This strategic equipment addition will enable Jagemann Stamping to offer expanded capabilities to our customers. The market, as a whole, is moving in the direction of servo presses due to the benefits they offer.”

The first set of new presses is scheduled to arrive the beginning of December, following the Fabtech 2013 show in Chicago, Ill. The 330 ton press will be featured in the Aida booth at Fabtech. The other set of presses is expected to arrive the middle of January.

Jagemann, with locations currently in Manitowoc, Wis and Murfreesboro, Ten, is focused on the latest technologies and the future of manufacturing. Jagemann places emphasis on training and developing its employees.
