Chicago, Illinois, December 21, 2007 - Dr. Masahiko Mori, president of Mori Seiki, was recently elected a Fellow of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). Representing years of service and dedication to the social, technological and educational aspects of manufacturing engineering, the fellowship was presented to Dr. Mori at an inauguration ceremony on November 12 in Chicago, Illinois.

"It is an incredible honor to receive this Fellowship from SME," says Dr. Mori. "Mori Seiki is committed to developing and providing technologies and services that benefit the industry and this title is a reflection on the success of our company. We will continue to do our utmost to contribute to the activities of SME and the machine tool industry."

Fellowship in SME is limited to just 1% of the total members and carries with it a lifetime membership. Worldwide, the organization has over 70,000 members in 300 chapters.
