Presentations Sought for ASTM International Workshop on Fuel Corrosivity and Material Compatibility of Petroleum and Alternative Liquid Fuels
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., November 4, 2009-Presentations are welcome for a workshop on "Fuel Corrosivity and Material Compatibility of Petroleum and Alternative Liquid Fuels" to be held July 1, 2010, at the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, Mo. Sponsored by ASTM International Committee D02 on Petroleum Products and Lubricants, the workshop is being held in conjunction with the June 27-July 1 standards development meetings of the committee.
The general objective of the workshop is to hold a technical forum hosted by a panel of industry experts to discuss the corrosivity and material compatibility aspects of petroleum and alternative liquid fuels and their impact on the materials generally used in the fuel distribution systems, storage systems, dispensing systems and vehicle fuel systems.
This workshop is appropriate for those individuals that are involved in the regulation, production, long-term storage and transportation or dispensing of petroleum and alternative liquid fuels.
Interested presenters must submit a 300-500 word abstract via e-mail to the workshop chairs listed below by Jan. 15, 2010. Presenters are welcome to submit their formal papers to the online Journal of ASTM International. If you wish to participate in the panel discussion, contact the workshop chairs by Jan. 15, 2010. You may have pre-prepared comments up to 10 minutes long on a fuel corrosion-related topic of your choice.
