The Prescolite Division of Hubbell Lighting, Inc has introduced a new series of 6" and 8" aperture downlights for T4. Quartz halogen light sources provide lighting specifiers with an exceptional option for church sanctuary, hospitality, auditorium, and other commercial high ceiling applications. The new products represent a further expansion of the company's highly regarded Architektur family of specification grade downlights.
The new downlights feature Virtual Source® lighting optics for uniform brightness control and optical cut off at all visual angles. A single vertically-oriented quartz halogen lamp of either 250W or 500W and providing 2000 hours lamp life is accommodated.
Delivering superior brightness and glare control, easy dimming, and instant-on performance, both the 6" and 8" aperture versions of these new downlights also feature convenient top and bottom re-lamping and massive high purity die cast aluminum heat sink for optimum thermal performance.
Specifiers are provided with a choice of fixed light distribution patterns -- 10º spot, 25º medium, and 40º flood - that are set at the factory. A deeply regressed glass lens is shipped standard with each housing to meet UL and core requirements for halogen lamp confinement.
The reflectors for these new downlights are available in all Prescolite standard finishes including Specular Clear Alzak, American Matte(TM) Clear, Wheat Alzak, Light Wheat Alzak, Black Alzak, Pewter Alzak, and Champagne Gold Alzak.
