HIM Innovation Community
On October 27, Precyse will assemble the HIM Innovation Community. This group is led by Linda Kloss, MA, RHIA, FAHIMA, president of Kloss Strategic Advisors and former CEO of AHIMA. Comprised of Precyse thought leaders and HIM professionals from 30 top healthcare institutions in North America, the assembly will convene to consider how health information management is evolving and to share ideas about how to facilitate positive change. The Community explores trends and their impact on information management and considers future scenarios for HIM practice based on assumptions regarding the pace and sequence of change and the impact of technology on these changes. In addition, Merida Johns, PhD, RHIA, Founder of the Monarch Institute for Women's Leadership, will lead attendees in a study of personal leadership, which will include authenticity, vision, awareness, strategy and action. Precyse will collect, compile and release the findings and highlights of this Community meeting after AHIMA 2013.Â
Precyse at AHIMA
Precyse will be featured in the Professional Development and Career Center, October 29 from 11:30am to 3:30pm. This event provides an opportunity for conference attendees to network and learn about companies and careers in the healthcare industry. Precyse will be raffling an opportunity to win a one-hour career coaching session with Linda Kloss and several official ICD-10-CM: 2014 and ICD-10-PCS: 2014 code books. Joining Kloss, industry expert, Karen J. Lawler, MPS, RHIA, CHPS, FABC, Director Health Information Management and Privacy Officer at Stamford Hospital, will present to share her expertise and answer any questions.
Tom Ormondroyd, Vice President, General Manager, Precyse Learning Solutions, will be present in the ICD-10 Refreshment Bar to answer any questions attendees may have regarding ICD-10 education.
