Precision Kidd Launches Newly Redesigned, Easier-to-Use Website www.precisionkidd.com

ALIQUIPPA, Pa., Sept. 22 -- Precision Kidd (PK) Steel Company, Inc., known for saving customers up to 75 percent of their part machining costs, has announced its new website is now operational.

The revised site includes a complete graphic redesign, along with a simplified navigation system that lets visitors more quickly find the product areas and information most frequently requested. The site also contains detailed customer benefits, more extensive product and service information, including product size ranges, and cost-saving comparisons for standard and custom-designed special shapes.

Precision Kidd is a leading producer of high-quality, precision cold-drawn and cold-finished steel bar, wire and special profile shapes. PK's unique ability to produce cold-drawn shapes to precise dimensional tolerances (net and near net), with superior finishes, helps customers to save significant time and money by eliminating -- or by significantly reducing -- machining, scrap, manpower, hand finishing, and the need for additional resources or capital costs.

Precision Kidd's website will serve as a valuable resource for engineers, designers, purchasing influences and cost analysts who design, specify, and use machined parts and/or steel bar, wire and special shapes.

The Precision Kidd website also contains:

o detailed information about each of its product lines.
o product size ranges and tolerance information.
o a program that provides a free part analysis.
o an online request for quotes.
o information about additional services.
o testing and metallurgical capabilities.
o data on a wide range of available steels, including stainless and tool steels.
o literature that can be downloaded easily.

Precision Kidd's products are used in a wide variety of markets and industries. These include aerospace, appliances, automotive, dental, electronics, hand and power tools, military and sporting arms, oil/gas exploration, power generation and transmission, textile machinery; and in a variety of multi-use applications, such as: bearings, electric motors, gears and pinions, special fasteners, rails, shafts and ball screws, splines and spindles, steering systems, and other part applications.

Precision Kidd was founded in 1885 and has been cold-drawing steel wire and bar for more than 120 years. The company makes both standard and custom special shapes at its two manufacturing facilities in Aliquippa, PA and Clinton, PA. Precision Kidd's quality system has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 and ANSI/ISO/ASQ-Q9001-2000 certificates of registration.

Recently, the company installed a new 60-ton draw bench at its Clinton plant. This increases PK's bar size range to 3 inches (76mm) diameter for rounds, squares, hexagons and special profile shapes; and to a maximum width of 5 inches (127mm) and up to 9 square inches (58 sq. cm) in cross section for rectangles and special profile shapes.
