Precision Devices Announces Major RF and Microwave Product Expansion

Middleton, WI - Precision Devices Inc. (www.pdixtal.com),  a member of the Avrio Technology Group LLC, has announced a major expansion of its Filter product portfolio.  PDI has expanded the Lumped Element (LC) Filters to 3.50GHz and is introducing a complete family of Cavity and Tubular Filters with center frequencies up to 18GHz and power handling of up to 2KW.  These new products open a wide variety of markets and applications to its already industry leading Monolithic and Discrete Crystal Filter products.

"Avrio Technology Group and PDI have invested significantly in the past year to expand Engineering Resources, Intellectual Property and Manufacturing capabilities," according to Craig Taylor, Avrio Technology Group Chief Executive Officer.  "Our corporate strategy is to grow our business in our existing stronghold markets like Avionics, Military and Space while at the same time expanding into less traditional markets like Instrumentation, Medical and Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAV)."

Taylor continued, "While these products further our leadership in Precision Timing and Filter components, the ultimate goal is to marry those products with the capabilities of Avrio Systems Engineering to provide subsystems and end-to-end solutions that enable our customers to produce equipment of superior performance.  PDI's internally developed hardware and external products from strategically aligned partnerships, coupled with ASE's software capabilities are exactly what these markets demand going forward.  Much more will be introduced throughout the balance of the year and into 2015.  It is an exciting time at PDI and Avrio!"

"The evolution into higher frequency LC filters and the Cavity and Tubular product arenas is an obvious next step," says Sam Johnson, Vice President of Engineering.  "Most of these markets look for application specific products that are uniquely designed and manufactured to optimize overall system performance.  We have the expertise, simulation software, and the market knowledge that customers require.  We will provide drop-in solutions that meet or exceed the current performance and their expectations."
