AUSTIN, Texas -- Pragma Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-class remote access and security software for servers and mobile devices, announces that Pragma FortressSSH Server (http://www.pragmasys.com/FortressSSHServer.asp) and Client (http://www.pragmasys.com/FortressSSHClientSuite.asp) is now listed on the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities Approved Products List (UC APL) and passed the U.S. Army Technology Integration Center's strenuous testing requirements and rigorous standards. FortressSSH is a secure shell product for Windows which allows customers secure remote access and high-performance managed file transfer using the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and Secure Copy (SCP) protocols.
The UC APL maintains a single consolidated list of products that have completed Interoperability (IO) and Information Assurance (IA) certification. Usage of the DoD UC APL allows various departments to purchase and operate secure communications over all DoD network infrastructures. The UC APL (http://www.disa.mil/ucco/) guarantees government agencies access to products that have the highest security and data encryption protection standards to protect the integrity of data traffic traveling across their infrastructure.
The U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command's Technology Integration Center (USAISEC TIC) is a state-of-the art testing facility that evaluates commercial, off-the-shelf Internet technology products including communications, computer, network and security products in support of Army, joint customers and program managers. TIC ensures that components of hardware and software that will be used across U.S. Army's networks are held to the highest security and encryption standards possible. Pragma Systems' Fortress SSH Server and Client has been evaluated by the U.S. Army's Technology Integration Center and found to meet all applicable requirements.
