Powers Fasteners, Inc. -- the leading domestic manufacturer of concrete anchoring systems -- has expanded its sales capabilities by promoting Michael Gaffigan to the new position of Director, Latin American Sales; and naming T.J. Bland and Mark Mamula as Branch Sales Managers for the state of Florida.
The announcement was made by Vice President of Sales and Marketing Len Colasuonno, who said the reorganization was made to help meet the increasing demand for Powers products in Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Mr. Gaffigan joined Powers in 1994 as Applications Engineer and three years later was named Sales Manager for the South Wales office in Australia. He returned to the United States in 2001 as Branch Sales Manager for Florida and Latin America. A native of White Plains, N.Y., he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from State University of New York and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Manhattan College. Mr. Gaffigan resides in Tampa, Fla. with his wife and two children.
Mr. Bland spent nearly three years with Applied Research Laboratories before joining Powers in 2003 as a territory sales representative in Florida. In his new position he will be responsible for sales in Southern Florida. Mr. Bland earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University of Mississippi and lives in Miami, Fla. with his wife and daughter.
Mr. Mamula was named territory sales representative for Florida in 2001 after three years as a sales representative for Hilti, a year-and-a-half with Florida International Marketing, and nearly two years as area sales manager for Brinker Brown Fastener & Supply, Inc. He also served 10 years as a sales representative for Coca Cola and five years as a hotel manager for Hilton Hotels Corporation. Mr. Mamula lives in Tampa and is responsible for sales in Northern Florida. He has two sons and a daughter.
