Powerhouse is one of the first recipients of the Cleaver Brooks CBR 800HP 2-pass, rifled-tube boilers. This boiler generates 800HP at 30PPM NOx (Nat Gas), but in an 83" diameter shell, which is an approximate 14% reduction in overall width.
This new boiler allowed Powerhouse to construct the World's First 800HP Portable Boiler Room (800 PBR). This boiler room is installed in a 53' steel intermodal container with removable chassis. The unit contains the boiler, complete water condition system, all electrical components and even has easy access to the boiler's front and rear doors.
The new 800 PBR expanded the capacity of the Powerhouse Portable Boiler Room Rental Fleet from an existing 650HP to 800HP.
Powerhouse has constructed 5 container enclosed systems using the Cleaver Brooks 800HP CBR boilers, with plans to build several more the end 2010.

Powerhouse Equipment & Engineering Co., Inc. has been a leader in the packaged boiler business for almost 30 years. Powerhouse was incorporated in 1982 by Paul A. Stohner in Camden, NJ. In 1997 Powerhouse moved into a 50,000 sq. ft. customized building in Delanco, NJ. This facility contains the overhead cranes, loading bays and test-fire facilities, sufficient for the building and testing of Powerhouse's boiler fleet. Powerhouse is still privately owned and operated by the Stohner Family.
Powerhouse has built a large and diverse rental boiler fleet and specializes in designing and building custom portable boiler rooms. In addition to rentals, Powerhouse stocks new boilers and completely reconditioned boilers for sale. Powerhouse carries the National Board "R" Stamp and ASME "U" stamp, authorizing for the repair of pressure vessels. Powerhouse employs boilermakers, certified boiler technicians, certified code welders and many other skilled laborers in our private shop. Powerhouse services industrial and heavy commercial clients in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and in many countries around the world.
