A portable floor scale with a battery-operated weigh indicator and folding ramp that makes easy work of weighing drums containing chemicals, paints, and powders is available from Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts.
The DeckHand(TM) Portable Floor Scale from Alliance is ideally suited for general drum weighing and counting applications around the plant or job site including receiving, production, and shipping departments. Featuring a non-skid top plate, two wheels and a folding ramp, this portable floor scale has a full function weigh indicator that lets users enter a known value or tare for their loads and has a 5-digit, 1" high LCD display.
Available in 500-, 1000-, and 2000 lbs. capacities, the DeckHand(TM) Portable Floor Scale from Alliance has a 31"W x 41"L x 4.5"H platform which can be made from steel or stainless steel. For optimum mobility, it has a column with two hand grips and a digital weight indicator in a NEMA 4X/IP66-rated stainless steel enclosure that is powered by 6 "C" cell alkaline batteries and includes a 110 VAC adaptor and RS-232C serial port.
