A low-cost, battery operated counting scale that can be used for a variety of production applications plus inventory management, rather than renting a scale, is available from Alliance Scale, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts.
The Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale is fully portable for use in assembly and kitting operations as well as for taking inventory. Capable of positive or negative counting, manual average piece rate entry for parts with known APW, auto-optimization for recalculating APW, this bench top scale has 10 memory locations for storing common parts weights.
Providing pre-set tare and dedicated tare and sample keys for common oper-ations, the Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale has an internal counting resolution of 1:600,000. Featuring a built-in 80-hour recharge- able battery with automatic shut-off, this versatile scale includes a sealed keypad and three-window backlit LCD that displays weight, APW, and count.
The Alliance/OHAUS® EC Series Digital Counting Scale sells for $359.95 and can be ordered with a 6-, 15-, 30-, or 60 lbs. capacity. Literature is available upon request.
