Freelin-Wade Co.
1730 N.E. Miller St.
McMinnville, OR, 97128
USA

Press release date: July 6, 2010

U.S. plastic tubing manufacturer Freelin-Wade announced the addition of polypropylene tubing to their product offering. The new tubing expands their product line, providing an economical upgrade to customers currently using polyethylene tubing.

Scott Schwarm, the company's national sales manager described the tubing saying,"Think of polypropylene as an upgrade to polyethylene. It handles heat better. It's more durable and resists UV rays and moisture; plus, it is FDA compliant, just like polyethylene." He went on to say, "It's an economical tube with big budget features."

Polypropylene is a copolymer that meets FDA requirements for food contact. It has low surface friction, resists staining and has excellent chemical resistance. Polypropylene is extremely lightweight so it has an impressive weight to strength ratio. The new polypropylene tubing will be stocked in natural but other colors are available as a variation. Other variations include coiling, cutting to length and custom packaging.

"Several of our competitors produce polypropylene tubing," Schwarm observed. "Before introducing our polypro to the market, we wanted to be sure that ours wasn't just a me-too offering. Our customers come to us because we offer a wide range of tubing variations. What's more, we turn those variations around faster than anyone in the industry. We needed to be sure that no matter how our customers wanted us to vary the tubing, we could do it and turn it around in just a few days. That's the standard that we set. It must always fit and always arrive to our customer on time."
