TOKYO, and PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 25 / -- Polycom, Inc., the world's leading provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, today announced Polycom Japan will provide support for high definition (HD) video conferencing technology at the CEO's MISSION 2007 conference, an executive conference hosted by Global Business Intelligence, Inc. (GBI) (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masayuki Okano). Polycom will supply video conferencing systems from its Polycom HDX series, which combine the highest levels of quality and flexibility to enable the conference's keynote address to be relayed from overseas.
Based on the theme of strategic leadership in a globalized economy, the CEO's MISSION 2007 executive conference will take place on Nov. 6, 2007 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tokyo. Every year, the conference invites prominent economic leaders from Japan and overseas to give speeches at the event. This year's conference, the third annual event, features a keynote address from former Federal Reserve Board (FRB) Chairman Alan Greenspan. The PolycomŽ HDX 9004(TM) video conferencing system, which was released last year and provides HD quality voice, video, and content, will relay Greenspan's speech connected to a Polycom HDX 8004(TM) system set up in the United States in Falls Church, Va. NTT BizLink Inc. will provide international IP networking service to the Japan-U.S. connection.

Porter in 2006, CEO's MISSION 2007 organizer GBI decided to use the new HD-compatible Polycom HDX video conferencing systems at this year's event.
