St. Petersburg, Florida - A recent Plasma-Therm advanced plasma processing workshop held in Tel Aviv, Israel, was attended by over 140 engineers and scientists from throughout the country's growing semiconductor technology sector. Twenty companies (ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500) and six world class universities participated in the full day of presentations focused on applying plasma etching and deposition to the fabrication of electronic, photonic, medical, and nanoscale devices and structures. Plasma-Therm, a leading semiconductor plasma processing equipment supplier, holds these workshops at centers of excellence throughout the world to promote a deeper understanding of fundamental and advanced technologies used in semiconductor, nanoscience, and material research and production.
The high value of the workshop was expressed by Dr. Nava Ariel-Sternberg, Managing Director for the Tel-Aviv University Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: "The workshop enhanced our understanding of plasma processes, from basic terminology to advanced science with clear process tutorials.
