Baxall Adds Three New Vandal Resistant Domes to Next-Generation Hyper-Dome Series Featuring Ultra Wide Dynamic Range, Low Power, and Superior Low Light Performance

Mountain View, Calif.-May 15, 2007 - Pixim, Incorporated's award-winning Digital Pixel System® (DPS) technology has been integrated into Baxall's new ICE Hyper-Dome series, including three indoor and outdoor vandal resistant mini-dome housings. The ICE Hyper-Dome joins Baxall's family of cameras based on Pixim's Orca chipset, which includes the Hyper-D mini-dome and box surveillance cameras. Baxall's complete family of cameras based on Pixim's Orca chipset delivers ultra wide dynamic range (WDR) of greater than 100 db, automatic lens detection for effortless installation, enhanced noise reduction, and zero smear.

Baxall's ICE Hyper-Dome incorporates Pixim's Orca chipset to achieve superior picture quality, delivering excellent images in both normal and WDR scenes. Pixim's image consistency and accurate color rendition overcomes typical impediments of existing analog CCD technologies to provide positive subject identification caused by variable lighting and limited color accuracy.

Baxall's new 3-axis GyroView technology gives installers the flexibility to position the camera after installation, ensuring optimal field of view in all circumstances. Pixim's Orca chipset is seamlessly integrated with Baxall's Smart Exposure system to automatically self-select the lens type and also exposure controls - such as back light compensation - specific to each field application.

Pixim chipsets combine impressive and powerful features that include excellent low light performance, wide dynamic range (120dB max), a progressive scan imager with global shutter that minimizes motion artifacts, and high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) at high temperature.

Baxall's new Pixim-enabled ICE Hyper-Dome is available in three vandal resistant housing options for ceiling or surface mount with an extra video output that allows the installer to focus the camera locally, without the need for a call to the control room.

The new vandal resistant ICE Hyper-Dome represents the third generation of Baxall cameras based on Pixim chipsets. Baxall was among the first to implement Pixim's DPS technology with their first generation DPS Hyper-D box camera series leading to continued development efforts with Pixim resulting in an Orca chipset-based Hyper-D minidome in 2006.

"Baxall has a continued commitment to integrating Pixim DPS technology into our ICE Hyper-D and Hyper-Dome camera series," comments Richard Law, Baxall's Managing Director. "Pixim chipsets ensure our cameras will deliver cutting-edge image quality for our customers who require 24/7 video capture in challenging lighting conditions."
