Düsseldorf/Paris - Gerresheimer is exhibiting its entire portfolio of standard and special products for the pharma and healthcare industries at Pharmapack Paris on February 13 and 14 (stands 133 and 372). The exhibition concept focuses on innovative solutions that meet the healthcare market's increasingly high quality and safety requirements.
Gerresheimer specializes in reliable primary packaging for pharmaceuticals made of materials that are ideal for the product's field of application. Glass and plastic pharmaceutical packaging products are suitable for most liquid and solid medications. However, Gerresheimer also has innovative and safe solutions for new parenteral drugs with different pH ranges or toxic pharmaceuticals.
The new MultiShell® vials unite the best properties of plastic and glass in a new, high quality container for liquid medications. They feature a unique triple-layer structure consisting of a layer of polyamide sandwiched between two COP (Cyclic Olefin Polymer) layers. These multi-layer vials are far more break-resistant than glass vials. Gerresheimer received the German Packaging Award in November 2011 for the development of the MultiShell® plastic vials.
The COP ClearJectTM syringes are also among the Gerresheimer flagship products at Pharmapack. Heavy metal-free COP is perfect as a primary packaging for sensitive medications for oncology, ophthalmology and other fields of medicine.
Gerresheimer is renowned for its pre-fillable RTF® syringes made of tubular glass. Pre-fillable syringes are available as bulk products and in ready-to-fill format, which means that they are washed, siliconized, pre-assembled and sterilized.
Gerresheimer tubular glass is the input material for a comprehensive range of high quality pharmaceutical vials, ampoules and cartridges in numerous filling sizes and design variants.
The Duma® brand OneLiner(TM) is a twist-off closure developed by Gerresheimer specifically for the US market with the mandatory foil seal. The containers with and without integrated seal are completely identical on the outside. This means that tablet manufacturers who serve both the European and US markets now no longer need to set up their filling machines for different packaging types.
The product portfolio also includes drug delivery and diagnostic systems, as well as plastic medical technology products.
