Fixed bowed roll apex can be adjusted during operation to spread the web, remove web wrinkles or control separation of slit webs.
(Nashua, NH) - The rugged Perma-Bow(TM) fixed bowed roll features an adjustable apex that helps converters achieve optimal web engagement and control over the web. NimCor's adjustable bearing housing allows operators to rotate the roll apex while operating at full line speeds to assist in separating slit webs or eliminating slack edges, soft spots and wrinkles. Roll geometry is specified for each customer's application upon ordering. Perma-Bow rolls are offered in 1-1/2 to 7-1/2 inch diameters with choice of cover compounds for a variety of applications including abrasive, caustic or tacky webs.
