The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has appointed Robert Glowinski as group vice president for forestry and wood products. In this position, he will lead the advancement of the forestry and wood sector while supporting the industry's ongoing commitment to sustainable forestry.
With more than three decades of experience in the field, Mr. Glowinski has led AF&PA's American Wood Council for the past sixteen years. He has also served as AF&PA's manager of fire technology, technical research counsel, and assistant vice president of the building codes and engineering division.
Mr. Glowinski formerly worked for a Washington law firm and the District of Columbia Fire Department, and served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland and University of the District of Columbia.
