Callery, Pennsylvania - Penn Stainless Products, Inc., Quakertown, PA, has recently purchased a new Heavy Gauge Cut-to-Length Line from Herr-Voss Stamco. This new line, which includes an industry leading Herr-Voss Stamco Precision Leveler®, will allow Penn Stainless Products, Inc. to supply their customers with product of superior flatness.
The line will process stainless steel coils up to 50,000# x 78" wide, with a thickness range of .095" to .375". Equipment includes an overhung mandrel type uncoiler, three-roll breaker, Precision Leveler®, vinyl applicator, down-cut shear, drop type stacker, pack lift and run-out conveyors.
According to Bill Clerihan, Penn Stainless' plant manager, "We chose Herr-Voss Stamco because of their proven track record and technical expertise in corrective leveling of heavy gauge stainless."
Herr-Voss Stamco will be responsible for the complete turnkey installation and commissioning of this new line, which is currently scheduled for commissioning in mid 2010.
