Patrick Plues to head BIO's state government relations.

BIO Announces Patrick Plues as the New Senior Director of State Government Relations



WASHINGTON--The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today that Patrick Plues has been hired to serve as Senior Director of State Government Relations.



Plues will lead BIO’s engagement in and support of state-level health legislative and regulatory issues while promoting the responsible development of the bioscience industry and better understanding of policy issues critical to our members.



Plues brings with him over 20 years of experience in state and federal government affairs, the majority of that time advocating on behalf of the biopharmaceutical industry. Plues previously led Cephalon's federal government affairs efforts. Prior to that position, Plues directed state and federal advocacy initiatives for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
