Partnering Opens for 2014 BIO International Convention with Record Number of Meetings Expected

WASHINGTON--The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced that the One-on-One Partnering™ system is now open for the 2014 BIO International Convention®, taking place in San Diego from June 23-26. One-on-One Partnering, which enables companies to initiate business contacts and schedule private meetings at the Convention, will take place for three full days from Tuesday, June 24 through Thursday, June 26. The Convention attracts the biggest names in biotech, regularly draws 15,000 attendees, offers key networking and partnering opportunities, and provides insights and inspiration on major trends affecting the industry.

More than 3,000 companies are expected to participate in One-on-One Partnering™ meetings, which will take place in the BIO Business Forum™ as well as in the BIO Exhibition. Companies from over 60 countries will be represented.



The BIO Business Forum has grown over the past thirteen years to become the industry's largest partnering event, hosting a record breaking 25,500+ partnering meetings in 2013. In 2013, exhibitors hosted 5,430 in-booth meetings and ranked in-booth partnering and global networking as the biggest exhibitor benefit. Powered by BIO's One-on-One Partnering™ System, the BIO Business Forum™ fosters the opportunity for companies to initiate business contacts in a friendly environment and schedule private meetings prior to the Convention.



Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Buzz of BIO contest, which recognizes noteworthy companies in the Pipelines of Promise and Technologies of Tomorrow categories.
