Rochester, NY, March 13, 2008 - Parlec, Inc., a worldwide leader in tooling, workholding, and presetting solutions, announced it will showcase its presetting, high-speed tooling and driven and static solutions at EASTEC Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts, May 20-May 22, 2008, Hall 5, Booth 5367.

Parlec will showcase its Series 1500 Parsetter TMMŪ, the latest innovative tool measuring system that provides complete presetting, tool inspection and tool measurement along with exceptional repeatability under almost any condition.
Representatives and technical experts will be on hand to demonstrate distinguishing features of the 1500 including the system's ergonomic, one-hand positioning, which allows the tool edge to come quickly into view while the dynamic crosshairs automatically find and track the cutting edge. Another advanced feature is the flexible configuration of axial orientation and measurement values, which allow the 1500 to be used for both turning and milling applications on one vertical presetting platform.
ParleVision PGC PlusŪ 6.0, Parlec's most advanced measuring and tool data management software, will also be demonstrated at the show. The software package is an enhancement to the company's popular Parsetter TMM line of Tool Measuring and Inspection systems, and allows users to create and manage tool lists for any NC program or tool carousel, as well as electronically communicate tool data to machining centers. PGC PLUS 6.0 can run as a stand-alone application at the tool presetter or as a client-server network installation. It also offers many advanced functions to measure special tooling, manage tool graphics, organize jobs for tool setting, provides post processing data and much more.
Parlec's high-speed tooling solutions, including balanceable toolholders and heat shrink systems will be showcased at this year's EASTEC show. These solutions utilize the industries latest technology, allowing for sustained precision, functionality and durability throughout a wide-range of applications.
Some of the Features and Benefits of Parlec's New Line of Balanceable Toolholders Include: o Radial offset nylon patch screws make balancing in under three minutes possible. o Radial offset increases the screws pitch for best adjustment resolution. o 90 degree linear positioning keeps the correction plane separation for maximized accuracy. o Centrifugal force applies radial pressure on the screw preventing any movement or dislodgement under high rotational speeds. o Offered as standard in Parlec tools that are purposely selected for their performance in high speed machining.
