Parlec Appoints President Of International Operations


Fairport, N.Y. - July 13, 2006 - Parlec Inc., a worldwide leader in tooling, workholding and presetting solutions, has named Doug Woods president of Parlec International. Woods will be responsible for expanding the company's worldwide growth specifically in the markets outside of North America.
In his new role, Woods will manage Parlec's current subsidiaries in Bristol, England and Nanjing, China, as well as, identify and develop the company's operations in other high growth markets. Previously the chief executive officer of Liberty Precision Industries, Wood's was responsible for helping the company grow from a $7 million tool & die company to a $40 million internationally recognized manufacturing company involved in the design and manufacture of flexible machining systems.
Woods is the current chairman of the board and past chairman of the custom automated systems group of the Association for Manufacturing Technology. He is also active in the National Tooling & Machining Association where he has chaired the Global Marketing Committee and is past president of the Rochester Chapter of the NTMA.
Woods holds a bachelors degree in business from Syracuse University. He currently resides in Victor, N.Y.
