Press release date: April 4, 2011

April 4, 2011 Woonsocket, RI - Parkinson Technologies, Inc. will exhibit at three leading industry events over the next six weeks. The company will display its latest products and technologies at the following shows:

ICE USA 2011 International Converting Exhibition, April 6-8, Orlando, FL
SPE - ANTEC 2011, May 1-5, Boston, MA
Chinaplas 2011, May 17-20, Guangzhou

ICE USA 2011, April 6-8, Orlando
The new ICE USA International Converting Exhibition show is being held for the first time from April 6-8 in Orlando, FL. "We're extremely pleased to see the efforts that ICE has put into re-energizing what had once been the premier show for converting technology, said Pete Termyn, President & CEO of Parkinson Technologies. "The flexible materials converting market has taken its hits, but it's more resilient and creative than upstream markets and is poised for respectable growth."

At ICE USA, Parkinson Technologies will display its Genesis 700 center-driven duplex slitter/rewinder. The Genesis 700 is the company's newest addition to its existing line of converting systems.

"Our Genesis 700 slitter/rewinder is designed for companies who are purchasing their first slitter or companies who need flexible, targeted slitting capacity that's easy to implement," said Termyn.

Thank you to all of our visitors at ICE USA 2011

SPE-ANTEC 2011, May 1-5, Boston
The Society of Plastics Engineers will hold their annual technical conference (ANTEC) in Boston from May 1-5. Ken Forziati, Business Development Manager at Parkinson Technologies, said, "As the premier global technical conference for the plastics industry, we have long recognized the value of both attending and exhibiting at SPE's ANTEC. It provides perhaps the best opportunity available to engage with our broad base of sophisticated customers."

At ANTEC, the company will focus on highlighting the capabilities of its in-house Marshall and Williams Plastics Extrusion and Biaxial Orientation Pilot Laboratory, and its ongoing evolution with respect to recent equipment and productivity improvements. This film and sheet development laboratory is the most complete film and sheet development laboratory commercially available for customer use. The state-of- the-art facility offers in-line extrusion for single layer or up to five layer film/sheet co-extrusion, machine direction orientation (MDO), and transverse direction orientation (TDO).

"No other show or conference provides this kind of access to so many renowned industry experts who are on the cutting edge of plastics technology," said Forziati. "Many of the attendees are our customers, involved in film and sheet product R&D efforts in our lab."

Chinaplas, May 17-20, Guangzhou
Called 'Asia's No. 1 Plastics & Rubber Trade Fair,' the 25th annual Chinaplas show will take place from May 17-20 in Guangzhou. "Chinaplas is no longer a regional venue -- it's a global show," said Termyn. "Having participated in the Chinese market for over 30 years, we've seen the rapid evolution of its plastics industry. And now a large part of our global customer base is focused on the region, not just because of its regional growth but also because of its global impact."

Parkinson Technologies will focus on its specialty film and sheet capabilities at Chinaplas. "Our Marshall and Williams biax lines are well known in China for BOPS but our customer base is now more focused on BOPVDF, BOPLA, Li-ion battery separator film and other specialty biax and mono-stretch applications," said Termyn. "Our customers want a partner with experience in these areas and this is what we will present."
