Key Features of the Rewinding System Include a Heated Splice Station, Dust Management and Added Customer-specified Features for Operator Safety and Comfort

Woonsocket, RI (April 3, 2009) . . . A Parkinson Technologies Shaftless Unwind and Center Rewinder recently purchased and installed by a leading fiber glass manufacturer will provide the ability to splice, slit, and rewind up to 65 mil- thick fiberglass reinforcement mat, in 75 inch-wide rolls, 92 inches in diameter, at winding tensions up to 15 pli, as fast as 1500 feet-per-minute. Maximum roll weight is 3,500 pounds.

The supplier (name withheld by request) purchased the Parkinson slitter-rewinder because of its commitment to quality. "The Parkinson equipment enables our customer to improve the quality of the product they deliver to their customers. They selected Parkinson because we were up to the challenge of delivering a unique, custom design that met their demanding specifications, at an economical price," said Carl Nowiszewski, Parkinson's Segment Manager/Business Development Executive, Nonwovens.
