Papers Invited for the 2011 International Symposium on Pavement Performance
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., - Papers are invited for the International Symposium on Pavement Performance: Trends, Advances and Challenges, to be held Dec. 5, 2011, at the Tampa Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Fla. Sponsored by ASTM International Committee E17 on Vehicle - Pavement Systems, the meetings will be held in conjunction with the Dec. 4-7 standards development meetings of the committee.
The issues of interest include addressing the trends, advances and challenges in the areas of pavement management, condition survey, friction measurement, pavement-tire noise, ground penetrating radar (GPR), video distress rating and structural adequacy testing.
Presenters/authors are asked to address topics that would allow participants and attendees to gain insight regarding the needs, methodologies and trends in pavement testing, performance monitoring, data collection/interpretation and instrumentation.
Interested presenters must submit a 250-300 word abstract online at www.astm.org/E17symp1211.htm by Jan. 15, 2011. The symposium chair will notify you by April 5, 2011, of your paper's acceptability for presentation. Symposium presenters are required to submit their papers to the Journal of ASTM International (JAI). JAI is an online, peer-reviewed journal for the international scientific and engineering community (www.astm.org/JAI).
