Press release date: October 16, 2007

Reading, UK, October 16, 2007 - Access, a leading UK manufacturer of data input devices, and the world leader in mobile ticket and coupon solutions, Mobiqa, have announced a deal which will allow coupons and tickets to be delivered and redeemed via mobile phones. The partnership will lead to significant ticketing and retail sales opportunities for a wide range of industries.

Paperless ticketing and promotions are in the midst of significant growth as mobile devices are increasingly being used for much more than making phone calls. Offering convenience and immediacy to the consumer, paperless tickets and coupons are delivered to the mobile phone in the form of a simple text message. The message contains a barcode and accompanying information about a promotion or event and is redeemed at the point-of-sale or at the entrance to a venue. Mobile ticketing has been used within the airline and rail industries, and for live music and sports events. Retailers equipped to take advantage of the technology will also benefit from significant sales opportunities as it becomes more pervasive.

Mobiqa specialises in the creation and delivery of a barcoded ticket or coupon to mobile phones. Access has designed the barcode reading equipment necessary to redeem the paperless tickets and vouchers. Access' miniature barcode imager, known as the LSR110, is available either as a standalone desktop device or as a rugged module for integration into self-service kiosks, making it suitable for use by the public when they wish to redeem vouchers or tickets themselves.

Access' managing director, Roger Wylie commented. "Mobiqa has a technology that is proven globally in this exciting new market. We recognised the need for fast, accurate barcode readers to make the technology as accessible and attractive as possible and that's what we've produced."

"The partnership between Mobiqa and Access marks an exciting development in our abilities to offer customers a complete end-to-end ticketing or promotion solution. Iain McCready, CEO of Mobiqa adds, "Mobiqa are delighted to be working with a market leader in data capture equipment and look forward to implementing our comprehensive solutions for use by the general public."
