Marlborough, MA September 18, 2007 - Kubotek USA today announced that Robert Bean, executive vice president, will be speaking at the PLM Roadmap(TM) conference, hosted by Collaborative Product Development Associates (CPDA) to be held September 19-20 in Plymouth, Michigan. The conference is the 14th annual PLM Road Map(TM) conference which focusing on the critical tradeoffs shaping product development. CPDA's analysts and key industry players share their experiences in addressing strategic PLM topics.
Mr. Bean will be a panelist along with representatives from Siemens PLM, SolidWorks, and SpaceClaim. The presentation will address the emerging significance of direct geometry editing techniques in CAD modeling. In the presentation, titled A Shift in the CAD Modeling Pendulum Bean will discuss direct model editing using feature and pattern selection and model-to-model verification. He will also introduce new design concepts and technologies that facilitate the exchange of data between disparate CAD packages, enabling quick and efficient collaboration through the extraction of design features and reuse of design elements.
