A specialized panel temperature sensor has been developed by Columbia Weather Systems for weather station applications monitoring solar panel arrays. The new sensor is available for Capricorn 2000EX Weather Stations(TM) or any CWS Weather Station using the Weather MicroServer(TM).
Solar panel temperature affects maximum power output - the warmer the solar panel, the less power it can produce. In an industry that focuses on energy efficiency, panel temperature is a critical parameter to monitor relative to performance.
Columbia Weather Systems offers meteorological environmental monitoring equipment for industries and agencies where weather affects safety and profit.
