Press release date: April 30, 2007

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances, has announced the UAE launch of its new models of wall-mount and window-mount ventilation fans designed for longer life and increased power efficiency. The release of the new FV-20WU4 and FV-15WU4 ventilating fans are part of Panasonic's long-term commitment to provide its global customers optimum value for their money.

"Consumers always consider quality and cost-effectiveness in their purchasing decisions, looking for products that offer the greatest value for their money, whether it's in the form of advanced technology, longer lifespan or energy efficiency. Panasonic is pleased to offer new ventilating fans that incorporate all these important factors," said Yu Kai, Product Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East FZE.

The new Panasonic models are fitted with an advanced blade design that provides maximum air volume while reducing noise. They also feature a newly-developed high-performance condenser motor designed to enhance durability and double the products' average lifespan. The motor uses the Japan Matsushita technology, which was awarded at Japan Electrical science and Engineering in 2005. The upgrades have increased the average lifespan of the wall-mount type ventilation fan from 30,000 hours to 60,000 hours, while lifespan of the new window-mount standard ventilation has increased to 40,000 hours, or 150 per cent longer than the previous model. Power consumption has also been significantly reduced by 50 per cent for the window-mount type and 13 percent for the wall-mount type. The window-mount type has also been improved with a stronger shutter structure that can sustain strong wind.
