Palisade Systems' Mature Content Monitoring and Filtering Technology Prevents Accidental or Malicious Transmission of Private Health Information
AMES, Iowa, Oct. 10 / - Palisade Systems, a leading provider of data loss prevention (DLP) and compliance solutions, announced today that Heartland Health, an integrated health delivery system including a medical center, physician practices, foundation and a health plan, has deployed their flagship product, PacketSure 6.0, to protect private health information (PHI) from being transmitted out of their network. Palisade Systems' DLP and compliance solution, PacketSure, is a multi-functional security appliance that monitors and enforces corporate remediation policies for sensitive, inappropriate, confidential or compliance information from leaving a network. Heartland Health was originally looking only to replace their web filtering solution. However, they found that PacketSure provided much more functionality in one appliance that would otherwise require multiple point solutions with multiple vendors.

Using PacketSure's application-aware content monitoring and filtering patented technology, Heartland Health is now able to manage and control the use of applications and protocols used by its employees, monitor their web usage, and prevent the leakage of sensitive and valuable patient health information.
