PTDA welcomed two new distributor members in first quarter of 2012. Importadora Gutierrez, S.R.L., founded in 1979 to serve expanding agricultural industry, covers Dominican Republic, Haiti, Central America, and Caribbean. Founded in 1948, Werner Electric Supply Co. has 11 branches throughout WI and MI that serve electrical control needs of OEMS, maintenance and automation needs of industrial plants and commercial buildings, and electrical needs of construction contractors.

Chicago, Ill.-The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) welcomed two new distributor members in the first quarter of 2012.
Importadora Gutierrez, S.R.L. (Santo Domingo, D.N., Dominican Republic) Importadora Gutierrez was founded in 1979 to serve the needs of the Caribbean region's expanding agricultural industry. As customer needs evolved, so did the company's product offerings, which now include motion control products such as electric motors and frequency drives; PT components, such as gearing, bearings, belting and coupling products; and conveyor components. Although the company's main markets are the Dominican Republic and Haiti, it also fully services Central America and the Caribbean. Company general manager Ricardo Gutierrez said, "Through our PTDA membership, we are looking to expand our servicing capabilities by acquiring know-how from PTDA's training.
