Second quarter Key Process Indicators show quality improvement in three important areas
PQI Inc., a custom machining company of quartz and industrial glassware used in the semiconductor, solar, medical, defense and aerospace industries announces continuous improvement in three Key Process Indicators in important categories that are used to identify performances and processes
The Key Process Indicator that PQI, Inc. uses to measure Returned Parts per Million improved the 1st quarter 2013 and again the 2nd quarter 2013. PQI Inc. has attained their goal of less than 1/10,000 parts returned.
The KPI that PQI, Inc. uses to measure on time "delivery to schedule" indicates 96% of items shipped in the 1st quarter 2013 were delivered on time and 97% were delivered to the customer on time in the 2nd quarter 2013.
Also, the KPI that measures Request for Quotation cycle time shows 60% of RFQ's received by PQI, Inc. in the 1st quarter 2013 were emailed to the customer the same day as received and RFQ cycle time improved to 70% of RFQ’s being emailed to the customer the same day as received in the 2nd quarter 2013. PQI, Inc. has achieved their goal of returning 80% of all RFQ's to the customer within 2 days.
PQI, Inc. continues to use Key Process Indicators as a valuable insight into variances of performance levels that measure progress toward strategic goals and assessment of key activities.
