Vacuum technology brings greater efficiency to a wide range of industries

Täby, Sweden (June 23, 2008) - PIAB has launched a strategic communications program with global marketing public relations firm ABI. PIAB is a global leader in vacuum technology, harnessing the power of compressed air to create greater efficiency in a range of industries including graphic arts, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and automotive manufacturing.

ABI will work with PIAB on a global public relations campaign to communicate both to end users and OEMs. PIAB's vacuum conveying and pump technologies lead to higher productivity, greater efficiency, and safer work environments. PIAB's recent innovations include COAX® technology, an advanced solution for creating vacuum with compressed air, DURAFLEX® high performance suction cups, and enclosed vacuum conveying solutions.

"Companies in a broad range of industries can benefit from our technology," says Malin Almering, global communications manager for PIAB. "Communication of and education on these benefits and how to implement them are essential in helping companies to be more profitable."

ABI works exclusively in business-to-business environments and will use both PIAB's array of technology as well as its personnel to communicate with decision makers in these markets. ABI is a global agency with offices in London, New York and Singapore.

"PIAB is in a unique position as a technology provider in that we work with both OEMs and end users," adds Almering. "However, we believe that creating more efficient, safer, and more reliable systems - no matter the industry - is a message that must be communicated to not only help PIAB, but also the industries we serve. We are looking forward to using this new relationship with ABI to grow business with new and existing customers worldwide."

"We will leverage our resources worldwide to help PIAB communicate with a uniform global message to its target industries," says Elisabeth King, managing director of ABI's London office. "This is essential for PIAB, which has offices and distributors in more than 50 countries."
