PDM Acquires Prime Industries Packaging Business
Brighton, MI –Â Package Design Manufacturing (PDM), a leading provider of foam packaging solutions, announced that it has recently purchased the Packaging Business Unit of Prime Industries, a molder of urethane packaging, based in Lorain, Ohio.
The purchase of Prime’s Industries Packaging Business, further expands PDM’s geographic market reach and will enable PDM to serve new customers and markets. “The acquisition of Prime’s Packaging Business will allow us to better serve current, as well as, new customers in the region,” said David Rosser, President of PDM. “On a broader scale, we look forward to expanding Prime’s business in the Point-of-Sale (POS) equipment market by utilizing PDM’s design and manufacturing capabilities to serve retail customers in POS equipment market across the country”.
As of January 2014, PDM has been servicing Prime’s former customers from its manufacturing plant in Lorain (Cleveland area). PDM will continue operate at Prime’s current location, while integrating the new operation with its other facilities around the country.
