OKW Electronics has launched the CTB3000/4000 45° low profile rising clamp terminal blocks from Camden Electronics. These compact terminal blocks have a 45° inclined wire entry which has been designed for applications where space is at a premium, or where access is restricted, for example on densely populated PCBs, or small equipment housings. The CTB3000/4000 series are offered in two standard pitch sizes of 5 mm and 10 mm, and incorporate vertical pins for horizontal assembly on the PCB. The low profile terminal body is just 12 mm high and incorporates professional rising clamp screw terminals for securing the wires.
The terminal blocks are moulded in gray UL94 V-0 flame retardant PA66 in a range of sizes from 1 to 12 poles. The 2 to 12 pole versions are formed by 2 and 3 pole individual interlocking blocks which are pre-assembled before delivery. Single pole models are offered in two widths of 10 mm or 15 mm.
The terminals are rated at 17.5A/250V (5 mm pitch) or 17.5A/750V (10 mm pitch), with a dielectric strength of ≥ 1.25kV/60s. The cable entry size is 12 AWG, and the working temperature range is -20˚C to 125˚C.
These PCB terminal blocks have UL, cUL, VDE and IMQ approvals, and offer an innovative solution to the problems posed by restricted space applications.
