Breadth and Depth of Integrations Showcased in 'The ViTAL Community' and Throughout the RSNA Show Floor

CHICAGO, Nov. 30 -- RSNA Booth #1118 -- Vital Images, Inc. (NASDAQ:VTAL), a leading provider of enterprise-wide advanced visualization and analysis solutions, today announced the growth of its relationships with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) providers at the 92nd Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), November 26-December 1. Vital Images' partnerships with PACS providers have grown in depth and breadth, providing customers with a more seamless enterprise-wide access to advanced visualization and analysis solutions.

Vital Images' software technology integrated with PACS solutions has grown to 11 partnerships. Vital Images' PACS partners at RSNA include: McKesson, Emageon, Agfa, BRIT, Cerner, DR Systems, Dynamic Imaging, Eclipsys, Fuji, OpenMed, and Sectra.

"Our PACS partnerships represent streamlined workflow and dataflow solutions," said Philip I. Smith, executive vice president of corporate development for Vital Images. "Through our commitment to expanding the reach of our advanced visualization and analysis solutions throughout the Enterprise, we are excited to showcase our strategic PACS relationships at the RSNA."

"Using the integrated Vitrea software with our McKesson PACS product has significantly impacted our high volume radiology department," said Gary Wendt, MD, MBA, associate professor of radiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. "The integration has saved us valuable time and streamlined our workflow by eliminating the need to move from one workstation to another to complete a study. When technology works seamlessly, it allows us to read more efficiently and simplifies complex technologies."

"As a result of the proliferation of 64-slice MDCT imaging, the management of large data sets necessitates the use of enterprise-wide advanced visualization and analysis integrated with PACS," continued Smith.
